For our winter enthusiasts, you’ll find several ski areas within about an hours’ drive from our hotel. Bear Lake State Park

You will want to take a trip to Bear Lake State Park where you see brilliantly blue waters combined with sandy beaches. Visitors are called to the park to play, fish, and boat here. Minerals (calcium carbonate) suspended in the lake’s waters are what help create its spectacular aqua-blue color. The Park’s concession operator, Bear Lake Funtime, offers a variety of goods and services. So, whether it’s boat rentals, fast-food services, or on-the-water fuel at the marina, they can help complete your family-fun visit at Bear Lake.

Montpelier Golf Course

Golfing in Bear Lake country couldn’t be better! Montpelier Golf Course has it all. Golf surrounded by mountain views, high desert landscaping, mature trees and a fantastic golf course. This 9-hole course is a golfer’s dream. Mature trees frame the fairways, and small greens provide a challenging, yet playable golf course for all level of golfers. Montpelier Golf Course provides a full-length driving range, large practice green, and putting and chipping areas. After your round of gold be sure to stop by the Clubhouse for a bite to eat, or shop for all the latest golf equipment, clothing, and accessories. If you are looking to travel outside of Montpelier, Bear Lake Golf Course offers a 9-hole mountain course with a pro shop and rental equipment.

National Oregon/California Trail Center

The National Oregon/California Trail Center is walking distance from the Clover Creek Inn and offers a unique historic experience to visitors looking to experience the trail. This indoor adventure re-enacts this piece in time with live actors, interpretive areas, and even get to ride in a covered wagon! This fun learning experience is great for visitors of all ages and something the whole family will enjoy.

Skiing Areas

Pine Creek Ski Resort is a best-kept secret located in neighboring Cokeville, Wyoming. Take the whole family out to ski on the 30 runs this mountain offers totaling to over 1,400 vertical feet of skiing!

Beaver Mountain Ski Resort's excellent runs, friendly atmosphere, and low prices make it a popular destination. Downhill skiing and snowboarding are major winter activities but there are also excellent cross-country ski and snowmobile trails nearby. After a fun-filled day on the slopes be sure to get a bite to eat at the main lodge, offering soup, burgers, sandwiches, salads, and snacks. The Beaver Mountain area is also a great summer destination offering fishing, hiking, horseback riding, and boating activities nearby.
